Melanie Tonniges, MA

Mel graduated with her Master of Arts Degree in Counseling from Doane College in 2000. She is a licensed independent mental health practitioner and a certified professional counselor. She was at Midwest Institute for Families and Youth for the past 22 years before joining our practice. Mel ran a boy's group home while she was in graduate school.

Mel is experienced in working with adolescents, teenagers, high school and college students, and adults. She specializes in helping clients with a variety of concerns, including but not limited to anxiety, depression, self-esteem issues, grief, trauma, ADHD, behavioral concerns, and family relationship dynamics.

In her spare time, Mel loves to travel and is passionate about sports, especially baseball. She also cherishes the time she gets to spend with her family and friends.
